Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Trailer Reveals Spider-Woman, Hundreds More Spideys

Must read

As promised the brand new trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is here and there's not just one new Spidey reveal, but tons and tons. The movie hits theaters on June 2, 2023.

We already knew that Across the Spider-Verse was getting ready to introduce new Spideys like Spider-Woman (voiced by Issa Rae), Spider-Man 2099 (voiced by Oscar Isaac), and even Spider-Punk (voiced by Daniel Kaluuya).

But in a brief snippet of the new trailer, you can see hundreds of Spideys joining the fight against Spider-Man 2099, who the movie appears to be setting up as an antagonist, though we still haven't seen the officially confirmed villain, The Spot.

Across the Spider-Verse is the sequel to 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which introduced Miles Morales as just one of many Spider-people across the multiverse. When Miles' Peter Parker dies, a rip in the dimensions brings the slacker Peter B. Parker. along with Gwen Stacey's Spider-Woman, and a few others into his universe.

The sequel was originally set to be released in 2022, but was delayed to 2023. However, the directors are promising a much larger scope for the sequel. The first film utilized numerous animation styles to showcase the unique aspect of each of its Spider-men, and the sequel is promising to outdo the first movie, particularly as it's set to introduce a lot more Spideys.

A third film titled, Beyond the Spider-Verse, has already been announced, presumably to make sure that the 240 confirmed Spideys all get a shot at the limelight.
