Netflix Hires Arnold Schwarzenegger as Chief Action Officer

Must read

Netflix has hired Terminator, Predator, and Jingle All the Way star Arnold Schwarzenegger as its chief action officer.

Announced in a promotional video on Netflix's YouTube, Schwarzenegger can be seen arriving at the streaming giant's headquarters in a tank.

"No one loves action as much as I do," he said in the video. "That's why I've accepted the big new job as Netflix's chief action officer."

Schwarzenegger then highlights a bunch of Netflix properties like Chris Hemsworth's Extraction 2, Henry Cavill's The Witcher, and Gal Gadot's Heart of Stone, providing his own commentary alongside and promising that he's working around the clock to bring subscribers "the best action on earth".

The film star's first TV series appearance, Fubar, also featured in the video, showing Schwarzenegger in the spy adventure that premieres on May 25. "Nobody knows action like I do, and nobody hits like Netflix," Schwarzenegger added.

In IGN's 9/10 review of the streaming service, we said: "As a result of that rising price, upstart competitors like Disney+ are looking a lot more appealing lately – but Netflix is still the streaming service to beat."
