Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon Gets a Trailer and New Images at CinemaCon 2023

Must read

Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Moon, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and is based on the real events of serial murders of members of Osage Nation in 1920s Oklahoma, has received a trailer and new images at CinemaCon 2023.

Scorsese stopped by CinemaCon 2023 to help reveal the teaser trailer for the movie, and it was shared that this will be his sixth movie with DiCaprio, his 10th with De Niro, and the first with both of them together. He also took the time to thank the Osage Nation for working so closely with the team for the film.

While the trailer hasn't been made public as of yet, Paramount Pictures did share a few images from the film that you can see below. Right after, you can check out our breakdown of the footage as we were in attendance at Paramount's CinemaCon showcase.

The trailer really takes its time to show that the Osage Nation was forced to move to what was thought to be some of the worst land in Oklahoma. However, they soon discover that there is an abundance of oil which allows them to build great wealth.

This does not sit well with the white men who seemingly condemned them to this plot of land, and DiCaprio's Ernest Burkhart and De Niro's William Hale devise a plan to infiltrate and marry into the Osage Nation to legally steal their wealth.

However, things quickly turn violent and people begin getting murdered, and this draws the attention of Jesse Plemons' Tom White, a federal agent who is on the case. It also appears Burkhart and Hale will end up against each other, for parts of the film at least, as the story continues.

Killers of the Flower Moon will be released in theaters on October 6, 2023, and will also star Lily Gladstone, Brendan Fraser, and John Lithgow. It also appears to have a runtime of 3 hours and 26 minutes.
